Hi Friends! đź‘‹

📊 Daily Stand-Up: Yesterday, as the Lead Engineer, we finished most of our profile page. What’s left you ask? We need to make the ranking fair to new users. Here is what we’ll do, we’ll reset all scores every 3 months so new players have a chance to reach the top rank. Now this would be relatively easy in a backend web service where we could set up an ETL job but we need to learn how to do this for a mobile app. Firebase functions may hold the key…

Next up we’ll be working on the store. When it comes to buying products or subscriptions in app we hate when the only options are different monthly costs, so we’ll want to offer some non subscription options such as purchasing play throughs and a lifetime pass.

So today we will look into firebase functions for auto emails, how to create an ETL job to reset scores and give new players a chance to rank, and the store.
