Hi Friends! 👋

📊 Daily Stand-Up: Yesterday, as the Lead Engineer, we finished our login flow using Firebase Cloud Firestore. This was a bit more complicated than we originally anticipated but crucial to get correct. We had to consider things like not storing passwords, not making the user go through the full login every time, forgetting passwords, etc.

But now that it is up and running here are a few other things we are considering…

Scoring, how will we score & rank players? Pricing how will we price playthroughs, (1 time purchases ie. buy 10 playthroughs, subscriptions ie playthroughs per month, lifetime passes)? What other social aspects should we consider as the game is a single player game? Advertising? Naturally we’ll ask AI for its opinion but if you have experience here it would be much appreciated!

Today we’ll be working on porting most of our local storage over to our cloud db.
