Hi Friends! 👋

📊 Daily Stand-Up: Yesterday, as the Lead Engineer, we worked on our login. Why do we need one? Well if we want players to have user names, and rank, and be able to compare rank, share out to social media etc, have the game on multiple devices and we expect them to pay for it, we need a login. Hence why we also spent yesterday looking at db hosting options. On that front we found Firebase will most likely work for our needs now that we don’t also have to host an AI. At this point it’s time to step into our Delivery Manager shoes and update our roadmap.

  • Create the Rules
  • Communicate with AI via API without paying
  • Create our own AI to run the game //Update to OpenAI
  • Build the app up around the AI interaction
    • Play/Resume
    • Social //Update to Profile
    • Store
    • Settings
  • Deploying our AI to a cloud infrastructure //Update to DB on cloud
  • Login Screen/Flow
  • App Hardening
  • Advertising
  • Deploy the App

Check out several examples and libraries for creating a login flow in the resources section below.

Today we’ll finish up our login flow and move to start looking at hosting a rdb.
