📊 Daily Stand-Up: Yesterday we prepped for a client meeting but our client had to switch it last minute to today. Though we were able to confirm they received and downloaded our firebase release! So as the Lead Engineer we continued getting frustrated with our audio feature.
In our frustration we took a break from the problem and looked at our previous preset commands. When looking at them and comparing with the old app we were found wanting. One big clue we found when comparing was that in the old app you could set a preset command and walk away/close the app and the device would still be executing that command. With the way we coded ours, via isolates, when the app closed the commands stopped. So that led us to believe there were commands we failed to uncover in our reverse engineering step. Sure enough when we looked there were 3 commands we missed so we removed our isolates, 🙁, and baked those commands in which caused us to also look at flutter sliders! When it was all said and done we fixed our presets, prepped more for our meeting and started looking at our other audio capture lib.
Today we’ll meet with the client as the PM and go over our questions. Also we’ll get back to diving into this audio feature.
