đź“Š Daily Stand-Up: Friday we looked into Dart isolates, which was a blast to learn. Once again we first learned all the ways not to build functioning isolates.
Key takeaway for anyone interested in this specific niche of Dart, your isolate functions have to be static functions not contained in a class. Technical jargon aside figuring this out allowed us to build our preset commands users can select from to send to their hardware anytime they please. We ended up building three of these presets.
Today we’ll be diving in as the Lead Engineer to build the final mode users can select from. This will probably be our biggest challenge yet, in our DM role. We marked this a L-XL (t-shirt size), as it will require us to capture audio from their mobile device and convert that into bluetooth commands. Here we’ll temper our bias to action and look for a good lib that will cover our needs. We’ll also want to set aside some time and step into our PM role for our upcoming meeting with the customer, (ie prepare/send a release build, (firebase or testflight), and build out our questions for the customer.
